Theistic Evolution isn't "fit" for survival

Theistic evolutionists are people who believe that God created the universe and all life on Earth, but that He used the process of evolution to do so. The modern synthesis is a theory of evolution that combines Darwinian natural selection with other factors, such as genetic drift and gene flow.

There are a few reasons why theistic evolutionists may not "own" the modern synthesis. First, the modern synthesis does not explicitly mention God or any other supernatural force. This could make it difficult for theistic evolutionists to reconcile their beliefs with the theory.

Second, the modern synthesis is based on the idea that evolution is a gradual process that occurs over millions of years. This could conflict with theistic evolutionists' beliefs about how God created the world.

Third, the modern synthesis does not address the issue of why God would use evolution to create life. This is a question that theistic evolutionists must answer for themselves.

Of course, there are also theistic evolutionists who do accept the modern synthesis. They believe that the theory is compatible with their beliefs about God and creation. However, there are also those who believe that the modern synthesis is incomplete or even incorrect.

Ultimately, whether or not theistic evolutionists "own" the modern synthesis is a matter of individual belief.
